Description: Alfred James Wands (B. Cleveland Ohio 1904-) Oil on Canvas Signed Lower Right A Wands. In 1993, Mr. Wands recognized this painting as one of his early works, executed before he left Clevland in 1930. He studied at the Cleveland Art Institute, Western Reserve University, BS; Univ. Colorado; The Acadamy Julien, Paris; and the John Huntington Institute. His work is in many museum collections, including: Brooklyn Museum of Arts and Science; Cleveland Art Museum; California Palace of Legion of Honor, San Francisco; Denver Art Museum; and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.
