Description: Pair of Anglo Indian Painted Ivory Miniatures; Circa 1840-60; depicting two domestic views from British India. These grand tour pieces would have been made in Delhi for the European Market and the Grand Tour Tourist Trade. The miniature painting industry developed in Delhi in the early 19th Century.
